kick-off to summer

 

 The VanVelsons needed to recharge, regroup, and get our summer party started. Enter, Auntie Fenny to the rescue. The Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes provided us with just the amount of time and fun we needed together. We can't wait to tackle our summer adventures!

it's a wrap!

O...M...Goodness! School. Is. Out! What a year! It was at times, mind-boggling, frustrating, irritating, infuriating and suffocating. I have never wished, prayed or hoped for a summer vacation more. We are officially leaving behind the 2012/2013 school year with a hip-hip hooray and a shaving cream splash!

 These are the last days of school. Grace had the most fabulous teacher who we love, Mrs. Cooper. I loved being a part of her year and subbing regularly for her class. These pictures are of Grace with her teacher, Bailey at race day, Grace enjoying water day and Bailey receiving an award (I'm so thankful  for the opportunity to have a photo of this accomplishment...wohoo!)

small town perks

One of the perks of living in small town is being able to walk to your dad's pizza parlor with all 28 kindergarten classmates. Troy has done this for both of our girl's each year since Bailey was in Kindergarten. It's such a treat for them to get a tour, learn how to toss dough, and enjoy an mid-morning snack. Thanks Dad!

Grace's first year; Bailey's third year! Both girls are doing amazing with Grace shredding at freestyle and Bailey continuing to dominate butterfly. For now, our weekday home away from is the pool!
