Happy Birthday to Bailey

On Saturday, the day before Bailey's birthday, we had to cancel her party as she was still a little under the weather. With Plan B in action the day actually turned out quite wonderful. Bailey woke up to a surprise road trip to Bakersfield where we met Grandma Robin for breakfast. She was so excited to see her.Next, we went to the mall and Bailey indulged in a manicure...purple glitter nails!

When we got home, she baked Easy Bake cakes with Evelyn and then the kids hit the pool.

Yes, I did get stuck with a cake for 30 people...oh well! Maybe next year...

Graduation...

from Pre-School that is.

Yes, they have Pre-School graduation. We drove straight to graduation from Disneyland and Bailey was exhausted. She started out strong in the singing program then half-way through she almost started to cry and then just stopped singing. The rest of the numbers were filled with yawns, boring hand claps and eyes closed. It was hysterical and the audience was cracking up. My little drama girl pulled out the stops once again!!! This pretty much sums it up!
She got a second wind during the diploma congratulations.
Grandma Nikki, Grandpa Lester and Grandma Karen came out to cheer!Bailey and Andrew.
When we asked her what happened, she said her tummy hurt and spent the rest of the night laying in the pizza parlor booth. Hopefully it was all the excitement and she'll be ready to party Sunday!

At Long Last...Disney

It was finally upon us and wow! it did not disappoint! What a wonderful way to spend a vacation/Bailey's 5th birthday. We did it all...Disneyland Hotel, Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grotto and face painting galore!!! The girls had such a wonderful time and even Troy and I enjoyed ourselves. The infamous Dumbo ride...not sure why everyone loves it but hey, whatever!
The Carousel was a favorite for Grace.
Round 1 of face painting...and let's not forget the lips. That was a bonus!!!

The teacups. And more face painting.

We loved the ice creams and the Parade. That was a true highlight because...
Bailey was asked to join the Conga line in the parade.

On day 3, our comedian kept trying to make funny faces. She is such a ham.
It truly was a magical trip.

Just In Case

Just in case you don't know how special you are...We wanted to let you know. The two of you are the best mom's any kids could ask for and we thank you for showing us how to be that for our own girls. On this day and everyday after, we celebrate and love you very much!
Happy Mother's Day to all of the sweet moms I know and even the one's I don't. This day is for you!

Got Craw fish?

So this weekend we had the great pleasure of being invited to a Craw fish feed with a group of friends. Matt and Carrie invited us to join them for this authentic dinner where we had many rounds of Hurricanes (the drink, that is) and some interesting little creatures.
Here is Carrie kissing one of them goodbye. The Ladies...Carrie, Kristie, Terrell, Cindi, Mary, Rochelle and Evelyn.

They boiled then poured.
Here we are enjoying round 1 of 6. Ouch!
Another fun weekend with great friends. Can't wait 'til Summer!
