All Aboard!

With not that many things to do 'just around the bend', one nice thing is the train that rolls through our cute local station. We decided (courtesy of Evelyn), to take advantage the Amtrak with a fun get away with the kids today. We rode the train to Hanford, hopped off for lunch and caught the train back for a nice little field trip. It was the first time for Grace, Olivia and Bailey but all of the kids enjoyed the trip!

We Toss 'Em...They're Awesome!

At the end of December, my friend Sara and her daughter Avery came to visit for a couple of days. We had such a fantastic time together and the girls got along just great. While they were here, one night the girls made their own pizzas and after they were done, I started to wonder if we shouldn't hire them full time. Because we had so much fun, we decided to have some friends over last night to have a repeat "pizza making performance". Thus, our pizza creating began...Bailey and Avery 'tossing' on the toppings.
Grace is having too much fun with the flour.
Look at these masterpieces!
Last night, it was Olivia and Bailey who had fun with the flour!
This time, we had the Master Pizza Maker in the HOUSE!
I see many more Pizza parties in the very near future!

...take a little off the top, please!

So, I have been thinking about cutting Bailey's hair for the past month and by cutting I was thinking...a trim! I was very fearful of cutting off her beautiful curls, so I have been dragging my feet on taking her in. Apparently, Bailey got tired of waiting and decided to take matters into her own hands this morning...

As I was putting away the dishes, she came bouncing into the kitchen and asked, "do I look different to you?"
My immediate thought was...curly heads do not have bangs!
Or Mullets!
It was off to the salon to see Sammy and get rid of the Annie meets Joe Dirt look.

As you can see, the curls are still in full force and I clearly had nothing to fear. Isn't she a doll?! Now, if we can only get these bangs to grow...here's to many more "bang clips".

The Not-So-Easy Bake

Here's an oldie but goodie...
Easy Bake Ovens! Bailey received this WONDERFUL (and i'm using the term loosely) gift from Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Darin for Christmas, so what better to do on a chilly Wednesday afternoon...
Aprons and all...Grace had to wear the cupcake chef's hat.
Talk about team work!
TaDa! The Finished product that each girl dumped a whole jar of sprinkles onto...
but they don't seem to mind!
Oh and for those of you that don't know, Bailey refers to herself as an Eater-Baker. You think?

Ladies in Waiting

With not much to report around this bend, the ladies decided a little dress-up was in order for the day. Nevermind that we were invited to the snow and sadly declined, we still found time for fun... Bailey and Gracie dressed up like princesses in their costumes they got for Christmas from the Fabrie's...and had a good time doing it too!
Are we ready for Disneyland or what?

Lazy Sundays!

My favorite day of the week is Saturday but I do enjoy a good, lazy Sunday. Relaxing with good friends, sitting by a toasty fire, watching the kids play shoot 'em up games and dressing up in Gypsy costumes (notice Bailey). Sounds like a good time, right?
(Bailey, Olivia, Luke, Kristie and Andrew)
This is Troy and Kevin's idea of a great evening...Guitar Hero!Grace is having the time of her life...can you tell?
Looking forward to many more lazy days...how about you?
