Campfires & Cabins

A highlight of our summer each year is visiting Mary & Jim's Cabin in Silver City. Its remote location allows for plenty of family and friends time without the distractions of televisions and telephones. Our weekend was filled with long hikes, games, campfires and tons of laughs! Once again, thanks to our hosts for the great memories!

3rd Annual VanVelson/Hansen Lemonade Stand

The kids did it all on their own. They made the lemonade, had cookies, maintained the cash, greeted customers, made and put up signs and best of all, cleaned up! It was a good day.

Rockin' Robin

They danced, we came, I crashed! The girls did a fabulous job at their recital and we made so many wonderful friends, both young and old, this year! Bailey wants to do 3 classes next year. Bring it on!

Hip Hip Hooray

Last day of school festivities included the following: Top of the class reading award, Grandma Robin on hand for the awards ceremony, root beer floats, after school ice cream parlor trip, jumping in the pool fully clothed, shaving cream fight, swimming, pedicures, bike riding and a family dinner! Phew! The day was such a blast despite sounding exhausting! How am I going to top it next year???
